Connaught Place or CP  is a center of Delhi.  Palika Bazaar, Janpath are main shopping area. Connaught circus has good restaurants, branded shos.

Chandni chowk in Old Delhi is bazaar built in old style. It was built by Shahjhan in 1650.  It was center of commercial activities of Mughal Empire and the legend continues till few years back. Till 2000 people used to go to Chandni chowk for doing marriage shopping , jewelry shopping.  With Shopping malls opening in Delhi, the trend is shifting.  Traditional shopper still go to Chandni chowk. For marriages and special event you can visit Kinari Bazar.

Lajpat Nagar and South Extension are next to each other.  These are residential areas with famous markets.  Central market is in Lajpat Nagar.

Delhi and nearby areas are also called NCR - National Capital region. It includes Gurgeon, Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad.  These cities in NCR region too have great shopping mall.  If you are going from Delhi to Jaipur - Gurgeon is on the way.  If you are going from Delhi to agra - Noida and Faridabad are 2 common ways.

There is lot of development happening even in Palwal which is on the way to Agra.
