Daman and Diu

Daman & Diu is the second smallest Union Territory of India, located on the west coast. It spreads to only 122 square kms. This coastal enclave has two districts- Diu and Daman.

Damanganga River divides Daman into two parts; Moti Daman and the Nani Daman. This Union Territory falls near Gujarat so Gujarati influence is seen every where; even in the official language.

The island districts are the perfect holiday destination to people. The tranquility experienced amid the surrounding blue waters is a treat for the senses. In summers the temperature revolves around 17° - 38°C and in winters 10° - 34°C. So September to April is the best time to visit Daman and Diu.
