Bhiwadi - Growing Industrial City

Background

Bhiwadi is an Industrial town located in Tijara Tehsil of Alwar district in Rajasthan, India. It has been able to establish itself among the fastest-growing cities of India. What makes Bhiwadi a compelling proposition is its close proximity with Delhi, which in turn, has earned it the sobriquet of a `Regional Center’ or Priority Town of the National Capital Region (NCR).

How to reach here

Bhiwadi is just 55 km away from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, 200 km from Jaipur, 90 km from Alwar, 40 km from Gurgoan, and 5 km from NH-8 (Delhi- Jaipur highway) on the Dharuhera- Sohna road.

Economic Development and Business

Bhiwadi being located next to Gurgaon & Manesar has a close proximity to the Northern and Western markets of India. It is emerging as a prime choice for limitless business opportunities. It has thousands of small, big and mid-sized industries of steel, furnace, electronics, engineering, textiles, pharmaceuticals, printing, cables, rolling mills, food processing, herbal care etc. All these industries are represented by BMA (Bhiwadi Manufacturing Association).

Bhiwadi sub-region is playing a major role in the economic development of Rajasthan and has metamorphed into 3rd largest industrial centre of India from last few years...more or less the credit goes somewhat to the top notch company establishments such as Pepsi, Honda Siel, Orient Craft, Asahi, Hero Honda, Bausch & Lomb, United Breweries, Ray Ban, Saint Gobain, Gillette and SEZ of Mahindra and Mahindra. All the major business tycoons either have established or in the process of establishing at least one unit here. The over all infrastructural development is generating a liberal number of employment opportunities for youth. The Rajasthan Housing Board has contributed immensely by creating the necessary infrastructure by way of schools, hospitals, banks, transportation, water supply and telecommunications networks. It is a well planned industrial township of Rajasthan.

From being a flourishing industrial town, it is fast becoming a preferred haven for real estate developers as good investment option. The future enormous opportunities in the real estate, retail and hospitality industries inspired many famed builders to sense the housing needs of the people & are developing state of art townships with modernized facilities.

Places to Visit

Bhiwadi being a fastest growing city does not have much tourist attractions but Vijay Mandir Palace constructed in 1918 by Maharaja Jai Singh and a well-laid garden and rippling lake in front is worth watching.
